We aim to emphasize the communal nature of theatre through a distinctly minimalist aesthetic that focuses on space, audience, and the performer (especially their basic tools of physicality and voice) to produce a uniquely direct and candid experience. Performers use their skills not only to create characters, but also to accompany each other with live lighting, music, and sound.
Since our founding in 2005, our distinctly minimalist aesthetic has been critically acclaimed by The NY Times, The Village Voice, TimeOut NY, Backstage, and all of the leading ny theatre websites: theatremania, nytheatre.com, showbusinessweekly, offoffonline, theatreonline, talkinbroadway and all the usual blogs.
We’ve received two New York Innovative Theatre (NYIT) Awards, seven NYIT nominations, one Midtown International Theatre Festival (MITF) Award, and three MIFT nominations.
