Casting Begins, Designers Already Hard at Work…

This week starts what I’m sure will be a richly rewarding process: Casting.

Such a multi-cultural play is always a great excuse for me to meet new actors from diverse backgrounds.  BEFORE YOUR VERY EYES is written for 5 actors: one Latina actress, two Indian actors (one of each gender), and two roles which may be either African-American or Caucasian.  I expect the process will last through the end of March.  Plenty of time for me to see a variety of talented folks.

In the meantime, I’m working with the design team on creating the world for the play to inhabit.  Sam Gordon (Lighting Design) and I are doing a walk-through of the Flamboyan theatre this week so that we can get a better idea of how to configure the space and use light.  Resident Artist Michael Tester and I have already gotten off to a great start with costume ideas.  More on all this as it develops.

For now…I’m gearing up to have a great series of auditions this week.  If you’re interested in auditioning…I’m happy to receive your inquiry (with headshot/resume, please).  Just send it to my email address, found under the “ensemble” section of the site (if I list it here I’ll get swarmed with spam).

THANKS!

~Ed

      Vishaal,

Thanks for your interest. We have indeed already cast the part. You are certainly welcome to send me your headshot/resume. Email both to ed@rabbitholeensemble.com and I’ll put you in my database for future casting.

Thanks again and I hope you’ll come see the production.
